Alta Borders

Alta Borders age 93 of Mt. Sterling passed away Wednesday October 16, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Alta was born March 15, 1920 in Salyersville, Ky. She was a homemaker who enjoyed camping, fishing, playing euchre and spending time with her family. Alta was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Ernest, her brothers Joe Estepp, and Glenn Estepp; sisters Freida Garrison, and Lou Jean Patrick. Alta leaves a legacy of love including 4 Children: Linda(Greg) Fisher, E. Jo Borders(Chuck Coggins), Dean Borders(Jane Sigrist) and Peggy(Buzz) Fry; grandchildren: Jon Saunders, Leslie Maiberger, Todd Saunders, Kay Dixon-Bell, Jim Cox, Juli Marczika, Randy Spencer; 17 great grandchildren,4 great great grand children and her sister Ethel Gross. A funeral service will be held on Monday October 21, 2013 at 11:00am at Porter-Tidd Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling. Rev. Dortha Ross officiating with internment following in Pleasant Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Sunday October 20, 2013 from 2-5pm.
