Barbara Lee Barker, age 84, daughter of Howard and Helen (Kelley) Brinson, went to be with her Lord on February 1, 2016. She died peacefully in her home, and was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd E. Barker, Sr. She is survived by their children; Judy (Randy) Scott, Becky (Buzz) Barker, Cathy (Larry) Meadows, Tim (Luana) Barker, Thom (Sue) Barker and Peggy Seaburn.
Barbara dearly loved and was loved by her children, 20 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and an abundance of friends. She was retired from a supervisory position with the Ohio State Department of Highway Taxation. Barbara was a devoted member of the Greenlawn Community Church, and a long-time volunteer at the Mt. Sterling Community Center.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 4th, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with funeral services celebrated on Friday, February 5th, 2016, at 11:00 AM in the Porter-Tidd Funeral Home, 331 West Main Street, Mt.Sterling. Pastors Thom Barker and Kenny Smith will be officiating with interment following the service at Bethel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greenlawn Community Church, 15003 Five Points Pike, Mt. Sterling, OH 43143 or the Mt. Sterling Community Center, 164 East Main Street, Mt. Sterling, OH. 43143.
