Bettelu Timmons

Bettelu Timmons (Yearling), 88, of London, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023. Bettelu was born December 4, 1934, to Harold and Edna Yearling. She worked at Ohio Bell before she transitioned to being a full-time housewife, working on the farm, and raising her children as well as helping with her grandchildren. Wherever Bettelu was, you could always find the love of her life, Dale. Dale and Bette were married 70 years and they enjoyed going on long drives and visiting Amish Country. She regularly attended Lilly Chapel Methodist Church and was actively involved in preparing dinners, meals for the homeless, and the Lilly Chapel homecomings. 

Bettelu was preceded in death by her parents; son Rick Timmons; and brother-in-law Brad Wilson. She is survived by her loving husband Dale; Children, son Doug (Vickie), daughter Joy (Andy), daughter-in-law Debbie; Grandchildren, Steve (Natalie), Matt (Kelly), Jodi, Eric, Grant (Shay); Great-grandchildren, Patrick, and Nolan; Sister Floanne Wilson and several nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be MONDAY, October 9, 2023, from 4:00-7:00pm at PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. Main Street, Mount Sterling, OH 43143. Funeral service will be the following morning TUESDAY, October 10, 2023, at 10:30am with Pastor Tim Rash officiating. Burial to follow at Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bettelu’s memory to the Lilly Chapel Methodist Church, 8530 Lilly Chapel-Georgesville Rd., London, OH 43140.
