Betty A. Warner, age 89 of Mt. Sterling, went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 14, 2013. She was surrounded by her loving family.
She was born July 5, 1924 in Fayette County, Ohio. Daughter of the late Jack Camden Emrick and Edna Leo (Webb).
Devoted wife, Mother, grandmother, Christian and neighbor sharing God’s love with everyone she met. Betty’s loving smile and laugh showed her love for life and for Jesus.
She was a member of the Mt. Sterling First Church of the Nazarene for more than 75 years, having lived her entire life in Mt. Sterling; Sunday School teacher for 40 years.
Preceded in death by husband, Paul F. Warner; sister, Mary Kathryn Scowden; brother, Wendell Emrick.
She is survived by children; Joy (Tim) Evans, Bonnie Houser, Mark (Linda) Warner, Bill (Chonita) Warner; grandchildren Stacy (Greg) Thompson, Chad (Heather) Warner, Mindy (Stuart) Yensal, Trevor (Kelli) Evans, Nathan (Chelsea) Warner, Derek Warner, Sara, Katie, & Matthew Edgington; great-grandchildren Abbey, Camryn, & Emma Thompson, Gabbey and Bella Patete, Cole Robert Warner, Colton Burns; brother, John Emrick; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at the Mt. Sterling First Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Jeff Griffith, Rev. Ron Reynolds, Rev. Dortha Ross, and Rev. Robert McNeely officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Betty’s final resting place is in Pleasant Cemetery.
Arrangements were made under the direction of the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Mt. Sterling First Church of the Nazarene 226 N. Market Street, Mt. Sterling, OH., 43143.
