Betty L. (Morris) Williams, age 80, passed away at her home, Friday, October 28, 2016 following a long illness. Betty was born January 10, 1936 in Fayette County, OH. Retired from Orient State Institution. Preceded in death by sons, Joseph L. George Jr. and Bobby J. Miller; parents, James and Mahala Morris; brothers, Eddie, Jim, Bob, Don, Jack and Larry Morris; sisters, Virginia Short, Lucille Summers, and Mildred Hunt. Survived by Husband of 49 years, James Williams Jr. of Mt. Sterling; daughter, Cheryl Dwyer of London; sons, Steve George of South Vienna and Erick (Becky) George of Mt. Sterling; grandchildren, Sara and Kathryn Dwyer, Joey, Joleigh and Jamison George, Heather and Erick George, and Haley Townsend of Alabama; great grandchildren, Gaze, Gwenn, Jaysa, Serena, and Sebastion; several nieces and nephews. Extra special people in her life were Becky George and Dale and Helen Short. Friends may call Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. Main St. in Mt.
