Beverly Ann Havens

Beverly Ann Havens of Mt. Sterling passed into eternal peace on Aug. 3, 2026. She was born October 4, 1941 to Cecil and Leota Barclay Yerian. She was the youngest of their four children. She married the love of her life, Herman Max Havens, on February 28, 1959. They were blessed with two sons, the first passing away shortly after his birth.  Kevin came along and was their pride and joy.  They enjoyed a life filled with love living in her parents' farmhouse. Beverly worked for Beacon Insurance as well as Westfield Insurance when the company changed hands. She and Max enjoyed their retirement with trips and helping on their son's family farm until the passing of Max in 2011. This left a void in her life but she bravely carried on making her family the center of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved Max, her brothers, Carl and Howard, and her sister, Jean as well as a special niece, Barbara Reiter. She is survived by son, Kevin (Sue Ellen) Havens and her beloved grandchildren, Jennifer (Sam) Petee, Jason (Regina) Sheehy, and Beth Ann (Rich) Whaley. Also left to mourn her are her great-grandchildren, Jacob (Jordyn) Petee, Alyson (Josh) Petee, Jaxon Whaley, Seth Simonson and Mara Simonson. Beverly was blessed to be a great-great-grandmother to Kinsley Marie and Braxton Clarke Petee. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including Betsy Reiter of Kentucky.

As per her wishes, a private graveside service will be held. She will be buried at Range Township Cemetery on the family plot. The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care she received at The Sterling Place where she resided the past few years. Arrangements are being handled by Porter-Tidd Funeral Home.
