Candance S. Rodgers

Candace S. Rodgers “Candy” (69) passed away in her home on October 21, 2022.  She was born July 16, 1953 in Washington Court House, OH to Cecil Sherman and Barbara Ann (Mahorney) Recob.  She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years Randy Rodgers; her children Jeremy Rodgers and Kimberly Hensley; her granddaughter Courtney Reisinger; her great-grandsons Damian and Brycen Mcfann and her cousin Betty Lou.  Candy was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Mary Kay Hannawalt.

Candy grew up a farm girl, enjoying the rural agriculture of central Ohio.  She later was an underwriter for Grange Mutual Insurance for 38 years.  She was also a member of the Madison Mills United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star.  Candy’s favorite pastimes were fishing and family.  She has left many memories and will be deeply missed.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 26 for visitation from 6:00-8:00 P.M., at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. MAIN STREET, MOUNT STERLING, OH, 43143, (740) 869-2777. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at 10:30 A.M., Rev. Steve Wetterhan will be officiating. Burial will follow at Bloomingburg Cemetery in Bloomingburg.  Services entrusted to Porter Tidd Funeral Home, Mt. Sterling, OH.
