Carrie Kendrick, age 95 of London passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 31, 1920 in Pikeville, Kentucky.
Preceded in death by her parents Burbon Thacker and Mercy (Adkins) Thacker; 2 children Ronnie Slone and Carrie Helen Tucker; grandchild, Gregory Arthur Slone; sister, Betty Slone; brothers Nathaniel Thacker, Lunner Thacker, and Haze Thacker; son-in-laws, Delbert Tucker, Ronald Nelson, and Travis Coleman.
She is survived by children Sammie & Judith (Bevins) Kendrick, Trula Kendrick Coleman, Burbon "Bud" and Gwen (Bailiff) Kendrick, Barbara Kendrick Rife & Donald, Betty Kendrick Nelson;
sisters Martha Thacker, Lorriane Lawhorn, and Mary Thacker; brothers Burbon Thacker, Jr. and Karfa Thacker; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great, great-grandchildren.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Pastor Jerry Poff of Loving Care Hospice officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Monday, Dec. 21st from 4 - 8 pm.
