Christopher Michael Anthony

Christopher Michael Anthony, age 75, of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, peacefully died at his home Tuesday morning February 17, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Born at home in Mt. Sterling, to the late Marvel and Mildred Anthony, Chris was a graduate of Madison South High School, Class of 1969. Chris retired from Restoration Hardware. He also farmed, grew a wonderful garden, and enjoyed woodworking. A tinkerer all of his life, Chris was a jack-of-all-trades. But most of all, Chris enjoyed the time he spent with his family. He loved them dearly. Formerly attending Crossroads Community Church in London, Ohio, Chris and his family currently attended Newport Global Methodist Church.

In addition to his late parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Tim Anthony, sister Virginia Engle, brother-in-law Bob Engle, sister-in-law Patty Anthony, brothers-in-law John Jacobs and Larry Stickel.

Chris is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Patricia J. Anthony, children Farrah (Brian) Carnahan and Lucas (Kathy) Anthony, grandchildren: Hunter Anthony, Samantha Carnahan, Lindsey (Logan) Shreve, and their daughter Mia; siblings: Phyllis Stickel, Sonnie (Glenn) Bard, and Steve Anthony, sister-in-law Brenda (Paul Roe) Anthony, brothers-in-law: Rick (Lori) O’Neil, Bryan O’Nail, and Rusty (Lana) O’Neil; sister-in-law Karen O’Nail, and many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends from 2:00p.m.-4:00p.m. SUNDAY at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, OH 43143 (740)-869-2777 where his Funeral Service will be held 11:00a.m. MONDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2026 with Reverend James Rawlins, officiating. Chris will be laid to rest immediately after the service at Bethel Cemetery, Mt. Sterling.
