Dale E. Abernathy Sr., age 79, of Derby died May 29, 2016 at Doctors West in Columbus. He was born March 16, 1937 in Pickaway County.
Preceded in death by father, William Abernathy and mother Christina Sollars Sines; wife Patricia; sons Dale Jr., Robert and Michael; daughter Angela; two infant sons.
Survived by sons Hank and Andrew; daughter Becky; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers Tom and Leonard; one sister Mary Jean (Carroll) Liston.
A Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Densil Wright officiating with the burial following in Pleasant Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to tme of service.
