Dara Leigh Miller

Dara Leigh Miller, age 42, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Friday, September 11, 2026, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born in Columbus, Ohio, on January 24, 1984. She was a graduate of Westfall High School, Class of 2002, and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Radiology from Columbus State. She was a long-time employee of Ohio Health Systems.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Sheila Chaffin; step-granddad, Jack Downey; and uncle Brian Musgrave.

Dara is survived by her loving husband, Zach Miller; father, Preston Chaffin; sisters, Heather Chaffin and Kendra Chaffin; grandmother, Phyllis Downey; grandfather, Ronnie Musgrave; aunt, Karen Musgrave; cousin, Hank Musgrave; mother and father-in-law, Thomas and Barbara (Lantry) Miller; brother-in-law, Ben Miller; sister-in-law, Kate Miller; and brother-in-law, Christian Miller (Alton).

Dara was an organ donor and gave the gift of life. She was a smart, sweet, and kind individual who loved to help people. She was adventurous and loved life to the fullest. She loved going to Disney World- her happy place.

Her favorite quote is from J.R.R Tolkein: “There is a place called ‘Heaven’ where the good here unfinished is completed; and where the stories unwritten, and the hopes unfulfilled, are continued. We may laugh together yet.”

Visitation will be held on SATURDAY, September 19, 2026, from 10:00-11:00 A.M., where the Funeral Service will immediately follow, starting at 11:00 A.M., with Mitchell Butler officiating, at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. Main Street, Mount Sterling, Ohio, 43143. Burial will follow at Pleasant Cemetery, Mount Sterling, Ohio.
