Denise D. Haddad

August 23, 1961 — January 2, 2022

Denise Dee Haddad (Jones), 60. Born 8/23/61, at Riverdale Hospital in Bladensburg, MD. Born into eternity 1/2/22, joining her father, Harry, mother, Grace, and brother, William (Billy). She passed peacefully at home in Mount Sterling, OH, after a long battle, but never lost her spirit, perspective, or her will to carry on. She leaves behind her sister Bonita (Bonnie), her loving husband of 41 years, Tom, and her dog, Odie (Odin) of 9 years. She is also survived by a large extended family of in-laws, and nieces and nephews. We all loved her dearly and still do.

Denise was very creative in so many ways and had a career in screen printing for 25 years, running her own business for many years. She was a wonderful person with a big heart, sharp wit, great sense of humor, and a strong belief in what is right and wrong – just like her father. She was also soft in the ways of the heart – just like her mother. She could cook like a frontier camp cook, or a fine dining chef. She just couldn't cook for two - it was always for 10. She also had a knack for knowing any actor or actress from the beginning of time, and their life history – like her father, and father-in-law, Pops (John J. Hassett). She could sing like a bird. If she heard Sinatra, or some old show tune, she would just belt it out: in the car, at a grocery store, anywhere! She truly loved life and all animals, and she was a gifted foosball player. She also enjoyed scaring me…with sudden screams during a quiet time or sneaking up behind me and putting her hand on my shoulder. Did I say she walked on cat’s feet? Drove me nuts, but so funny…all I could do was laugh.

Denise was a beautiful, loving, and adventurous girl. We traveled all over the country in our time together.  I'm so fortunate to have had the blessing of knowing her and loving her since the day we met over 46 years ago. I remember that moment as if it just happened and have treasured that memory of her beautiful smile and those bright eyes ever since. She is a beautiful soul, and I love and miss her with all my heart. I know we will be together again someday…, as time is relative, and love is eternal.

 I love you, Darling.
