Donald Vincent Bogenrife, age 89 of Sedalia passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012. He was born May 9, 1922 in Madison County, Ohio.
Mr. Bogenrife was retired from the Ohio Edison Company. He was a member of Scottish Rite; 32nd degree Mason, Chandler Lodge #0138 F & AM of London; Chapter #386 O.E.S. of London. Donald was an avid New York Yankees Baseball fan and an Ohio State Buckeye fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Warner and Ivah (Barnhart) Bogenrife; wife, Betty Bogenrife, Aunt Jane Bogenrife, cousins Phyllis Jane Whiteside and Maralyn Jean Spangler, and brother-in-law, Bud Dowler.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Diane Bogenrife and special grandson, Vincent Bogenrife, both of Sedalia; sisters-in-law Jane Hughes, Judy Borders (Baird), and Barb Dailey; brother-in-law, Phil Dowler.
A Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Gordon Ell officiating with the burial following in Range Township Cemetery in Sedalia. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 – 7 p.m. A Masonic service will be given at the close of visitation beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Family suggest memorial donations to a Madison-Plains Scholarship given in memory of Donald Bogenrife or to Oakwood Village 1500 Villa Road, Springfield, OH. 45503.
