Donna L. Phillips, 78 of Mt. Sterling died Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Madison Health Care (ER) in London. She was born April 18, 1936 in Franklin County, Ohio. Daughter of the late F. Albert and Mary (Dalgarn) Anderson.
Member of the First United Methodist6 Church in Mt. Sterling where she was also involved in the hand bell choir, member of Pythian Sisters, volunteer at Mt. Sterling Community Center also tutoring school children after school hours, delivered Meals on Wheels for many years.
Preceded in death by husband, David Phillips, brothers Richard and David Anderson; twin sister Lois Tomlinson; grandson Ryan Oty.
She is survived by son Doug Phillips of San Diego, daughters Denise (Bob) Kanniard and Becky (Bill) Richey, both of London; 6 grandchildren Vickie (Dom) Mohn, Doug Phillips, Jr., Stacie (Scott) Stone, Troy Kanniard, Josh (Kristy) Oty, Jamie (Adam) Wise; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters Beverly Burkitt, Judy Mowery, Linda Bourne, and Sue Crawford.
A Funeral service will be held 10:30 am on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Mike Berne officiating with the burial following in Pleasant Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Monday, December 29th from 4 - 7 pm.
Family suggest memorial contributions to Mt. Sterling Community Center or First United Methodist Church of Mt. Sterling.
