Donnie Lee Hammond

On December 13, 2021, Donnie Lee Hammond died unexpectedly at his home in Mt. Sterling, Ohio at age 70. Donnie is survived by his daughter Jennifer Chadwell, son-in-law Steve Chadwell, his granddaughters Taylor and Paige and his brother Charlie Hammond.  He was preceded in death by his parents Angelo and Juanita Hammond and his brother Robert Hammond. Donnie was born in Kenova, West Virginia on October 27, 1951. He graduated from Plains High School in Mt. Sterling in 1969. Donnie worked for the plastic plant in Mt. Sterling and for the Chessie System Railroad (CSX). He was the most giving person. He was a wonderful friend and a loving father and grandfather. Family will receive friends from 12:00 NOON-1:00p.m. on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2021 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 West Main Street, Mt.
