Doris Haag

Doris A Haag, 79, of Harrisburg passed away peacefully on Friday, November 2, 2018. Born February 5, 1939 in Pickaway County, Ohio. Doris was a 1957 graduate of Mt. Sterling High School; retired from employment of Farm Bureau and Southwestern City Schools. She enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren and loved playing cards. Preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Cathryn (Fast) Fitzgerald; husband, Gary Haag (October 5, 2018). Survived by her loving family; daughter Kim Love-Smith (Chris), sons, Gary Bradlee Haag, and Rick Haag (Michele); 5 grandchildren Angela Wilson (Ben), Sarah Smith (Richard), Gary (Buddy) Smith, Sean Casto (Cierra), and Lyndsi Aneal; 6 great-grandchildren Marshal Johnston, Levi Wilson, Donovan Gilpen, Jace Casto, Josie Smith, and Hunter Walker; sister, Jerri Emrick, numerous nieces and nephews. Family helpers Karen & Chris Jensen, Beverlee & Terry Loat, Grace Stage, Janet Daubert, Debbie Miller, and Marilyn Haag; special friends Ed & Glenda Sheets, Margie Fisher, Jackie Miller, Judy Barton, and Toni Remenschneider; and a special thanks to Harrisburg United Methodist Church members and neighbors for their friendship, care and concern.  A Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Nancy Day-Achauer officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery.
