Dorothy L. Dotson, age 82 of Darbyville, passed away December 30, 2016 at Logan Elm Health Care in Circleville. She was born August 26, 1934 in Mingo County, West Virginia.
Preceded in death by her parents, Robey and Callie (Amos) Ward; husband Joda Dotson, grandson William Anthony Dotson; daughter-in-law Elizabeth Dotson; sisters Myrtle Browning, Mary Berry, Sis Ellis; brothers John, Lincoln, Ben, Clarence, Jim and George Ward.
She is survived by her loving family; daughter Delores (Richard) McCoy of Darbyville; son Lawrence (Tami) Dotson of Mt. Sterling; brother Dan Ward of West Virginia; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Friend and roommate at Logan Elm, Mabel Fullen; special friends Isom and Tootie. Dorothy's family would like to thank all the caregivers at Logan Elm Care Center.
A Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Danny Ward officiating with the interment following in Muhlenberg Township Cemetery in Darbyville. A visitation wwill be held Wednesday from 5 - 8 pm.
