Dorothy Irene (Case) Ford, age 89 of Mt. Sterling died Sunday, November 17, 2013 at her residence. She was born August 27, 1924 in Hopson, IL.
Dorothy was a member of Village Quilt Guild, Good Time Quilters Guild, and National Quilting Association.
Preceded in death by parents Jessie Lee Case and Mary Magdalena Eichenlaub Case; brothers and sisters William Case, Herman Case, Harold Case, Alta Pauline Miller, Donald Case, Iris Rowe, Clyde (Jim) Case, Russell Case and Robert Case.
Survived by Husband Harley Ford (married Nov. 14, 1947); Children Lois Ford, Deborah (Bradford) Cavener, Phyllis Ford, and Dale Ford, all of Mt. Sterling; Grandchildren Scott (Megan) Batson, Mt. Sterling, OH., Ashley (Joseph) Clark, Grove City, OH., Craig (Angie) Wilson, Bloomingburg, OH., Ashley Cavener, Howard, OH.; Great-Grandchildren Kyler Batson, Kade Batson, Levi Wilson, Harley Clark, and David Balling; Sister Betty (Wendell) Bowdle, Wilmington, OH.; sister-in-laws Emily Case, Tom’s River, New Jersey and Gloria Case, Frankfort, OH.
A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. John Burr officiating with the interment following in Bethel Cemetery. Family will receive friends beginning 12:00 Noon until time of service.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Dale Ford, Bradford Cavener, Craig Wilson, Scott Batson, Joey Clark, Steve Elliott, Mark Elliott and Honorary Kyler Batson.
