Ernest Taylor, age 82 of Harrisburg died Saturday evening, December 19, 2015 at Mt. Carmel West surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 4, 1933 in Derby, Ohio. He was the son of the late Charles W. Taylor and Sarah (Spencer) Taylor.
Also preceded in death daughter, Anna Marie (Taylor) Knisley; brothers Ed Spencer, Milton Taylor, Charles Junior Taylor; sisters Florence Murray and Dorothy "Dot" Eisler; grandson, Tony Borror and favorite companion Corkey.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Blanche E. (Moore) Taylor; children Kathy (C.P.) Sprague, Rex Taylor, Theresa (Don) Borror; grandchildren, Shane (Tammy) Sprague, Tabitha Hardbarger, Ritchie (Rose) Borror, Angela Borror, and Cody Knisley; great-grandchildren Brook Hardbarger, Cordell Sipe, Jobey Morris, and Tristan Sprague.
A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Dortha Ross officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery. A military service will be performed at the grave site for the Army veteran (National Guard). Family will receive friends one hour prior to service beginning 12:00 noon.
