Eustice Gothard

Eustice Leonard (Toot) Gothard, age 92, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday December 5, 2017. Member of Chicago Avenue Christian Church, retired from Columbus Showcase and was a life-long woodworker. Preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Donna Jean; parents Marvin and Lesta, 4 brothers and 3 sisters, grandsons Matthew, Gavin and Larry. Survived by his loving daughters Suzann (James) Daviner, Marvina (David) Pelfrey, Roberta Harris, Anita (Dennis) Kelley and Emily (Ken) Ward; best friend Carl Horn; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; sister Phyllis Pitts; numerous loving family and friends. A Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 West Main St., Mt. Sterling, Ohio 43143. Rev. Dortha Ross officiating with the interment following in Springlawn Cemetery, Williamsport, OH. A military service will be performed at the gravesite for the World War II Navy veteran by the Circleville Amvets Post #2256. Family will receive friends Thursday from 5 - 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice, 6150 East Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43213 in Eustice's (Toot's) name.
