Gary Haag, 82, of Harrisburg passed away peacefully on Friday, October 5, 2018.  Born October 26, 1935 in Columbus, Ohio.  Gary graduated from Jackson High School.  He retired from Signal Delivery as a Truck Driver, and Southwest Public Library.  Gary enjoyed working at stockyards when he was young.  He also enjoyed working and attending auctions, and most of all spending time with the grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Frank and Minnie (Stroud) Haag; sister Doris Willison; brothers Frank Haag and Harley Haag. Survived by his loving wife, Doris A. Haag; daughter, Kim Love-Smith (Chris); sons, Gary Bradlee Haag and Rick Haag (Michele); 5 grandchildren Angela Wilson (Ben), Sarah Smith (Richard), Gary (Buddy) Smith, Sean Casto (Cierra), and Lyndsi Aneal; 6 great-grandchildren Marshal Johnston, Levi Wilson, Donovan Gilpen, Jace Casto, Josie Smith, and Hunter Walker; sisters Rosemary Ayle, Grace Stage, and Janet Daubert (Don); sister-in-law, Jerry Emrick; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends Ed & Glenda Sheets, Ray Holland & Family,  Harrisburg United Methodist Church members and neighbors. A Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling.  Rev. Nancy Day-Achauer officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery.  Family will receive friends on Tuesday, Oct. 9th from   4 - 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers family suggest memorial contributions to Harrisburg United Methodist Church, 1160 High Street, Harrisburg, OH 43126.
