Harvey "Mike" Michael Wardell

Harvey Michael “Mike” Wardell, age 58, of Orient, Ohio, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2025. Born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Harvey Gary and Shirley (Higgins) Wardell, Mike was a graduate of Westfall High School, Class of 1984. A life-log farmer, Mike loved hunting and the outdoors, and loved mowing his lawn. In addition to his late parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents Wendell and Betty Wardell and Charles and Betty Higgins. His uncle Chuck Higgins also preceded him in death. Mike is survived by his son Garik Wardell, sister and brother-in-law Debbie and Ron Dube, niece Alexis Dube, mother of his son Tami Krieg, and many other loving family members and friends with a special thanks to Matt Corder, Clyde Ohnewehr, and Rick Haag.

Family will receive friends from 10:00a.m.-12:00p.m. WEDNESDAY, JULY 2, 2025 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, OH 43143 (740)-869-2777, where his Funeral Service will follow the visitation and begin at 12:00 NOON, WEDNESDAY with Pastor Jim Blankenship, officiating. Mike will be laid to rest at Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling.
