Jack E. Maggard, age 91, of Orient, Ohio, passed away on February 16, 2026. He was born on September 7, 1934, in Greenup, Kentucky, to the late Ralph and Hope (Dickerson) Maggard.
Jack was a U.S. Army Veteran who fought in the Korean War, was a member of the Mt. Sterling American Legion, as well as the VFW, he retired from the Pickaway Correctional Institute and was a devoted Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joanne Maggard, his parents, Ralph and Hope (Dickerson) Maggard, son, Todd Maggard, sister, Myrtle Kennedy and his granddaughter, Jacqueline Hoffman.
Jack is survived by his children, Jackie (Tricia) Maggard, Rhonda (Mike) Graham, and Donna (Kenny) Young, his brother, Randy (Kim) Maggard, grandchildren, Beth (Brian) Yeagel, Jenna (Dane) Gilbert, Desiree (Nicole) Maggard, Sara Young, Jennifer (Jesse) Jones, and Emily (Drew) Zollinger, great grandchildren, Skylar, Piper, Mia, Kynlee, Oscar, Jackson, Bryce, Kylie, Carter, Abby, Case, Nash and Gentry, as well as special friends and neighbors, Bessie Jackson and Jim & Gale Hanna.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to Ohio Health Hospice or the Mt. Sterling American Legion.
