Jane M. Ranke, age 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 8, 2026. She was born and raised in Franklin County, Ohio and graduated from Grove City High School. After graduation she married the love of her life, Donald E. Ranke. Together they built a beautiful life and shared many years of love and companionship.

Jane and Donald were blessed with one son, Donald W. Ranke who was the joy and pride of her life. She was employed by Ohio Bell, where she worked faithfully for many years and retired in 1984. She took pride in her work and the friendships she made. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marcus and Clara Schulz, and her husband, Donald E. Ranke. Jane is survived by her son Donald W. Ranke; her brother George Schulz; niece Vonda Gabriel; daughter in law Margaret Ranke, sister in law Jill Schulz; grandchildren: Schylar Rowell and Slade Ranke; and great grandchild Maverick Rowell.

Family will receive friends from 10:00a.m.-10:30a.m SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2026 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME 331 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, OH 43143 (740)-869-2777 where her Funeral Service will follow the visitation and begin at 10:30a.m. SATURDAY with Reverend Phil Conrad, officiating. Jane will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Donald at Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling, Ohio.
