Jay D. Hill, 78 of Orient, died Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in Kobacker of Columbus. He was born Nov. 14, 1938 in Columbus, Ohio. He was the son of the late Louis E. and Bonita (Ehmann) Hill. Jay was a retired electrician with American Electric Power.
He was a member of Harrisburg United Methodist Church; Masonic Lodge #269 F & AM of Mt. Sterling; and most of all, an avid fan of his grandchildren and their sports.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Judy Hill; sons Randy (Mary) Hill, Todd Hill, and Tony (Barbara) Hill; 7 grandchildren Chad, Jared, Kalyn, Logan, Adam, Jacob and Lauren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 7:00 pm at the Harrisburg United Methodist Church, 1160 High Street, Harrisburg, OH. 43126. Rev. Robert Sholis officiating.
The family was served by the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME,Mt. Sterling, Ohio.
