Joe Vance

Joe Vance, age 94, of Pataskala, Ohio, formerly of Mt. Sterling, is with the Lord and his loved ones.  He joined them on Sunday, March 11, 2018.  Born in Hillsboro, Ohio to the late Elmer and Mary Vance, Joe was a farmer for most of his life and later worked at Versa, Inc. before he retired.  Joe was a United States Marine and served in China during WWII.  He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife Tillie, his son Bill Vance and his two sisters and three brothers.  Joe is survived by his son Gary (Alta) Vance of Columbus, daughter Karen Vance of Pataskala, son Steve (Terri) Vance of McArthur, Ohio, daughter-in-law Kelly Vance of Dresden, Ohio, his four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sister Ruth Fields of Orient, Ohio, his many nieces and nephews and his grand-dogs Joey and Charlie.  Family will welcome friends from 10:00-11:00a.m. SATURDAY, MARCH 17, 2018 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, OH 43143 (740)-869-2777 where his Funeral Service will follow the visitation and begin at 11:00a.m. SATURDAY.  Burial will follow at Hillsboro Cemetery, Hillsboro, Ohio.
