Joyce M. Taynor, age 71 of Piketon died November 19, 2013 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. She was born Dec. 15, 1941. Daughter of the late Frank Swick and Margaret Harter Swick.
Also preceding her in death husband, John Taynor; 4 grandchildren Stephanie, Amanda, Candice, and Jonathan.
She is survived by daughters Virginia Taynor (Jenny Kay) and Joanie Taynor, both of Chillicothe; grandchildren Kasha, April, and Edward; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters Peggy, Patricia, Mickie, Penny, Christina; brothers Larry, John, and Bill.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, November 25, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. Main Street, Mt. Sterling, OH. 43143. Family will receive friends one hour prior to time of service. Ms. Taynor’s final resting place will be in Pleasant Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, family suggest memorial contributions be given to the funeral home to help defray the cost of funeral expenses.
