Judy Jordan Deeds

February 12, 1947 — June 3, 2025

Mt. Sterling, Ohio

Judy (Jordan) Deeds, aka: JuJu, Jude, JJ, and Lou, age 78, died peacefully at home on June 3, 2025 in Mt. Sterling, Ohio. She graduated from Franklin Heights High School, Class of 1965. She spent the last thirty-three years living on her farm where she enjoyed riding the lawnmower and cutting the grass. One of her favorite past times was going “cruising” with her husband. This led them on many adventures and just spending quality time together. Most of all, she LOVED her family, immediate and extended. She was lucky to grow up in a large extended family with eight aunts and uncles on both parent’s side of the family, which gave her many cousins to grow up with and help guide through life.

Judy’s husband Rod writes about her: “Judy was such a beautiful child, inside and out and is an inspiration to all of us. She showed us how a person should lead their life by being unselfish, caring, loving and giving. She was also a leader and a teacher. She spent many hours on the phone talking and sharing her wisdom to her friends and family who needed comfort or were having difficult times. Judy was there, all the time, for anybody. Her wisdom was from an old soul that came from the Father, her parents and her beloved grandparents. She spent a lot of time with them and it showed in her quick wit and bountiful wisdom. She was an unbelievable mother to her children and grandchildren. She was a nurturer and saw the best of everything in other people and would try to help everybody. She loved her pets and other animals, saving and rescuing them anytime she could. Judy was always a busy person as she had much experience as a cosmetologist, a realtor, an office manager, and accountant. She also owned a catering business and retired as a Customer Service Manager. Judy was the best wife a husband could ever wish for. She was an angel here on Earth and everyone loved her.”

Judy is survived by her dedicated and loving husband of 35 years, Rodney Deeds, daughter Shana (O’Day) Nicholson, bonus daughter Kelly (Zachary) Charles, bonus son Joshua Deeds, sister Sharon (Robert) Frank, grandsons Job Hickey-O’Day, Micah O’Day, Camden Charles, Lincoln Charles, Adam Charles, and granddaughter Briley Charles, niece Susie (Mark) Koons, niece Jennifer (Jeremy) Tatro, nephew Ryan Haag, nephew Lane (Grace) Spaulding, many great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. Judy was preceded in death by her parents Eugene Jordan and Leona Jordan, brother Gerald Jordan and son Shawn O’Day.
