Kelly Howard Tucker, born July 27 th, 1963, in Columbus, Ohio, and current resident of Orient, Ohio, unexpectedly passed away on August 17, 2026, at the age of 63.
Preceded in death by loving parents Howard and Shelby Tucker, Grandparents Ted and Opal Tucker, as well as Elmer and Mildred Henkel.
Kelly was a lifelong and current employee of Pactiv/Novolex Corporation for 42 years, where he proudly held the #1 clock number status and was currently the lead mechanic. A graduate of Westfall High School in 1981, in which he had a strong passion for playing football and the agricultural program. Kelly had a strong passion for sports, including the Ohio State University, Cleveland Browns, and the Cleveland Indians/Guardians. Kelly also was a lifetime supporter for Swine breeding Projects and 4H in the state of Ohio.
Kelly is survived by his loving wife Barbara Tucker of 34 years. Sister Cindy (Stuart) Tucker-Macleod of Florida. Son Joshua (Denise) Maynard of Orient, Ohio. Grandchildren Carter and Lillian Maynard, as well as Cayla and Cody O’Day. Nephew Ryan (Heather) Donohoe and niece Rylee Donohoe. As well as Uncle Leon Henkel. Many family and friends from work, fantasy football, and others he has touched through life. Special mention to lifelong friend of 58 years Scott Ratcliff, who together infamously painted the Westfall High School dome their senior year in a covert operation in the middle of the night.
Funeral showing will be conducted MONDAY, August 24th, 2026, from 6-8pm at PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. MAIN STREET, MT. STERLING, OHIO, 43143. The Funeral Service will be held TUESDAY, August 25th, 2026, at 11am at the Porter-Tidd Funeral Home. Officiated by Reverend John Colburn. Following the service he will be buried at Muhlenburg Township Cemetery in Darbyville, Ohio.
Special Note: For the funeral showing, please feel free to wear any Ohio State, Cleveland Browns, or Cleveland Indians/Guardians attire to celebrate Kelly’s life.
