Leona Ann Powers

Leona Ann (Reay) Powers, age 79, passed away, Monday, March 2, 2020. Leona was a member of Eastern Star Sterling Chapter #74, and a past Worthy Matron of Ralph Rickley Chapter Columbus. She was an avid seamstress, master quilter, knitter and crocheter. She will be remembered for her quilts, blankets, clothes and gifts, that she lovingly created for family and friends. She was a 1971 ATA Grand American High Lady trapshooting champion. Leona is preceded in death by parents; Cecil and Grace Reay, loving husband of 60 years; George D. Powers, daughter; Gail D. Miller, sister; Bobbi Jean Mitchem, brother; Paul D. (Buckshot) Reay. She is survived by children; Greg Powers, Tracy Powers, Jon (Tina) Powers, and sister; Beatrice Rowe, son-in-law; John Miller, grandchildren; Ashley (Justin) Kolb, Brandon (April) Miller, Paige Musselman, Jon Luke Powers, and Zachary (Emily) Powers, great-grandchildren; Ava and Scarlett Kolb, and Aidan Rice. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2020 at 1:00 PM, with visitation 2 hours prior to funeral service at the Porter-Tidd Funeral Home, 331 W. Main Street, Mount Sterling, Ohio, with Rev Dortha Ross officiating the service. Interment will follow at Pleasant Cemetery, Mount Sterling, OH.
