Lloyd Stires, 86, of Mt. Sterling died August 4, 2016 in Mt. Carmel West. He was born August 19, 1929 in Mt. Sterling, Ohio.
Preceded in death by parents, Thomas & Mabel (Riley) Stires; son Rick Cotton; daughter Sandy Allen; brothers Eldon, Robert, Ronald, Seymour Lee, Pearl, William, and Frederick; sister Mary Lou Ladley.
Survived by son David Stires and wife Stephanie; longtime companion Shirley Thacker; brother Donald Stires; grandchildren Darren and Tiffany; several great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends in celebrating the life of Lloyd on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm at the First Church of the Nazarene, 226 N. Market St., Mt. Sterling, Ohio. In keeping with his wishes cremation has been requested.
