Lola Butz, age 74 of Mt. Sterling passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017 at her residence. She was born September 5, 1943 in Fayette County, Ohio.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Mt. Sterling and a former Advisor of the Mud Run Hustlers 4-H Club.
Lola devoted her life to her husband, children, and family. She was married to the love of her life Darryl for 53 years. She loved all of her grandchildren. She never missed a sporting event, car race, or horse show they participated in. Lola was called "mom" by many children that she babysat over the years. She also loved attending family get togethers. Preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Mary (Lands) Delay; brother Larry Delay; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law Ray and Annabelle Butz.
Survived by her loving husband, Darryl Butz; Daughter Tiffany (Ken) Null; Son Travis (Maria) Butz; grandchildren Trevor and Kinsey Null, David, James, Joseph and Annabelle Butz; sisters Linda (Richard) Williamson, Vicky (Jim) Wilson, and Melissa (Ronnie) Nichols; sister-in-law Evelyn Delay.
A Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. James Blankenship and Rev. Dortha Ross officiating with the interment following in Bethel Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 - 8 p.m.
