Lydia Earlene O’Neal, age 90 of Mt. Sterling, died Saturday, August 17, 2013 in Madison County Hospital. Born Feb. 17,1923 in Poplar Bluff, MO., daughter of the late Delbert Greer and Molly (Johnson).
Member of First Baptist Church in Grove City.
She is survived by husband of 72 yrs (married Nov. 4, 1939) to Jerry O’Neal; daughter Linda O’Neal; granddaughters Treva (Larry) Bartola, Dondra (Michael) Huffman; great-grandchildren Samuel & Dominic Bartola, Michele Simpson; great-great-grandchildren Kimberly & Tiffany Simpson.
A Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. David Berna officiating with the burial following in Pleasant Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to time of service.
