Marjorie Lou (Toppins) Oty, age 86, passed away December 14, 2014 at home. She was born August 13, 1928 to the late Oakley and Lettie (Allen) Toppins. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her son William J. Oty, Jr., grandson Ryan Oty, sisters & brothers Ruth Kearns, Evelyn Boggs, Opal Lowe, Tom Toppins and Bill Toppins.
Survivors include her children Pam Hutchison, Mark (Barb) Oty, Lisa Allen, Charles Oty, Matt Oty, Lettie (Jason) Roberts; sisters Mrytle Evans, Peggy (Harold) Williams, Carol Toppins and Elenor Tackett; grandchildren Aaron and Eric Hutchison; Josh Oty and Jamie Wise; Zac Oty and Leah Oty; Jennie Caudill; Blythe Oty, Megan Oty, Mallory Oty, and Angie Speakman; Kevin Oty and Adrian Oty.
Our Mom loved us all unconditionally. She never judged, always worried about us and truly loved her grandchildren. She now walks the streets of God with the Lord. Oh what sights she must see!
A Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. John Colburn officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to time of service.
