Mary Lou Brungs

Mary Lou Brungs, born Mary Lou Anderson on May 21, 1930, peacefully passed away in Mt Sterling, Ohio, on October 8, 2023. She was surrounded by her loved ones in her final moments. Mary Lou was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt.

Mary Lou is survived by her son, David Strausbaugh, and her grandchildren, Kim Strausbaugh, Candy Strausbaugh Mills, Tony Strausbaugh, Jason Strausbaugh, and Shane Strausbaugh. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, as well as her sisters, Flora Edwards, Joy Stroup, and Donna Smith. Mary Lou had a large extended family, including many nieces and nephews.

Mary Lou’s son, Robert Strausbaugh, and her husband, Raymond Brungs, preceded her in death, along with her mother Mamie Anderson, her father Floyd Anderson, and her sister Maude McCorkle.

Mary Lou dedicated 40 years of her life to her career at General Electric in Circleville, Ohio. Her hard work and dedication were admired by her colleagues and the community.

Mary Lou was a member of the Circleville Church of Christ Crossroads and the Church of Christ Bainbridge, Ohio. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she found comfort and solace in her places of worship.

The funeral arrangements for Mary Lou Brungs are being handled by Porter-Tidd Funeral Home, Mt Sterling, Ohio. Billy Warner will officiate at the Ceremony and Shane Strausbaugh will be sharing some memories.

Mary Lou Brungs will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.

The family will receive friends at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. MAIN STREET, MT STERLING, OHIO, 43143, on Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 11:00 AM- 12 NOON, with Funeral Service to follow. Burial to follow at Forest Cemetery, Circleville, Ohio.
