Michael V. Elam, 59, of Mt. Sterling, died May 5, 2017 in Fayette County Memorial Hospital. He was born November 8, 1957 in Portsmouth, Ohio.
Michael was retired from Northfork Southern Railroad.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Rosemary (Swickert) Elam.
Survived by his wife Jennifer; sister Shannon Mounts; and sisters-in-law Regina Leatherwood and Becky Sampsill.
In keeping with Michael's wishes, cremation has been requested. A Memorial will be held at a later date.
The family has been served by the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling.
