Pearl M. (Becker) Trapp, age 84 of Mt. Sterling died Wednesday, February 8, 2012 in Pickaway Manor, Circleville. She was born April 22, 1927 in Columbus, Ohio.
She was a 1945 graduate of Grove City High School; past member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Grove City, Advisor of Livestock Farmerettes 4-H club, retired from 25 years working the counter at Scioto Downs and Beulah Park.
Preceded in death by parents Lewis and Wilhelmina (Riebel) Becker; sister, Edna Kreiger.
She is survived by husband, Clinton “Bill” Trapp; daughter JoAnn (Paul) Azbell of Williamsport; sons Don (Beverly) Trapp of Grove City, Lewis (Mary) Trapp of South Bloomfield, Joseph Trapp (Sabrina) of Amanda; grandchildren Brian Trapp of Kentucky, Ryan (Valerie) Trapp of Mt. Sterling, Amy (James) McNeal of Amanda, Rex (Emily) Reisinger of New Holland, Casey Reisinger of Grove City, Rob Reisinger of Williamsport, Kaelan Lester of Circleville, Christopher Ryan Daniels (Robin) of Columbus, Jimmie (Laura) Barnhouse of South Bloomfield; 20 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pearl was a wonderful, hard-working person who had a great sense of humor with a quick wit. She loved to play jokes on you if she got the chance. She also loved working outdoors and canning vegetables from the garden. She will certainly be missed by all those who knew her and loved her.
Family will receive friends on Friday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. A Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2012 with Rev. Leland Brehm officiating. The interment will follow in Darbyville Cemetery.
