In Loving Memory of Richard “Dick” A. Morris, Sr. 

Richard “Dick” A. Morris, Sr. passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on September 18, 1945, Dick lived a life marked by dedication, service, and love.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Omar A. Morris and Ruby M. (Jones) Morris; his siblings, Patricia (Pat) Williams, Donald (Don) Morris, Laverne Morris, James (Jim) Morris, and Francis Morris.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Wanda Jean Morris; his children Richard A. Morris, Jr (Shelley), Jeremy Scott Morris (Heather); his brothers: Roger Morris, Dennis Morris (Kim), and Edward “Eddie” Morris (Rhonda). Dick’s legacy continues through his many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.

After proudly serving in the United States Navy for 6 years, Dick transitioned to civilian life, where he worked as a truck driver for over 10 years, a farmhand, a mechanic alongside his son, and was a dedicated volunteer at the Frankfort Methodist Church. His commitment to service, to his country, his family, and his community, was unwavering. Above all, Dick cherished time spent with his grandchildren, creating memories filled with laughter, wisdom, and love. His gentle spirit, faith, and generous heart touched all who knew him. Dick will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he enriched.

Visitation will be held on WEDNESDAY, December 3, 2025, from 10:00am- 11:00am, at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. Main Street, Mount Sterling, Ohio, 43143. A Graveside Service will follow at Waterloo Cemetery, Washington Court House, OH.
