Robert Barok

Robert Edward Barok, Jr. age 78, of Mt. Sterling, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024. As a flat track and motorcross racer motorcycles were a large part of his life. He spent a number of years riding Harleys with Capital City Motorcycle Club. Later in life he made the switch to racing cars. He was an avid dog lover and he enjoyed sports especially woman’s basketball.

He is preceded in death by his parents Robert E. Barok and Ima Jeanne Crawford, and wife Marilyn Barok.

Robert is survived by his children Teresa (Terry) Thompson, Bart (Cassandra) Barok, Brad Barok, Mark (Heidi) Barok, Christopher Smith, and Mike McCoy; sisters Martha (Larry) Perry, and Jeanne (Paul) Green; grandchildren Taos (Teresa) Thompson and Townsend (Teresa) Thompson, Alex (Bart) Barok, Austin (Bart) Barok, Amanda (Bart) Barok, Robert (Brad) Barok, Bridget (Brad) Barok, Brianna (Brad) Keeton, Makyla (Brad) Terry, Samatha (Mark) Ratliff, Alex (Mark) Ratliff, Jarod (Christopher) Smith, Benjamin (Mike) Tong, Paul (Mike) Hast, Troy (Mike) McCoy, and many great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 14, 2024, from 2-4 PM, for a Celebration of Life Gathering at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. MAIN ST, MT. STERLING, OH, 43143.
