Robert Douglas Riddle

Robert Douglas Riddle, age 66, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2025. Born August 22, 1959, to Nancy and the late Robert R. Riddle. Robert was a student in Mount Sterling schools for 11 years, but graduated from high school at Columbus North, Indiana. He went on to further his career and became a pastry chef at the Le Cordon Bleu Institute of Culinary Arts in Orlando, Florida. He loved cooking, especially spicy food, the hotter the better. He loved old writers, Mark Twain was a favorite, and Sherlock Holmes. Robert had a passion for music, and he would sit for hours listening to CCR, and Bob Dylan, was two of his favorites. He loved the Buckeyes and was an avid Ohio State football fan.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert R. Riddle.

Robert is survived by his loving mother, Nancy E. Riddle; sister Lynnette R. Blair (Kent Linson); nieces Cassi L. Blair and Katie E. (Tyler) Branham; and nephew Taylor G. Blair; great-nephews Gauge, Noah, Corbin, and River, and  great-niece Layla.

Visitation will be held on SATURDAY, December 20, 2025, from 10:00am-11:00am, at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. MAIN STREET, MOUNT STERLING, OH, 43143. A Graveside Service will immediately follow the visitation at Pleasant Cemetery, 14220 Era Road, Mount Sterling, OH, 43143.
