Ronald Rivers, 82 of Sarasota, Florida died Sunday, March 13, 2016 in Court House Manor. He was born July 10, 1933 in Paintsville, KY.
Ronald has been farming since 1945, known as Rivers Farms; Owner & Founder of Mid-Ohio Chemical 1963 - 1994; recognized as Entrepreneur of the year in 1988 with Services of Columbus-Arthur Young; recognized as member of Who's Who Leading American Executives in 1991 and 1992; member of OSU President's Club; member of Grace Community Church in Washington Court House; an avid history buff and fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes.
Preceded in death by parents Baxter and Gladys (Meade) Rivers; brother Charles Rivers.
Survived by wife, Jeannie; daughter Shelly (Steve) Rawlins of Brandon, FL.; grandchildren Courtney (Aaron) Haygood of Valrico, FL., Brittany (Josh) Skaggs of Washington C.H.; great-granddaughters, twins Julia Grace and Sophia Danielle; his puppy Winston.
A celebration of life will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Grace Community Church in Washington Court House. Pastor Jay Lucas officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling. Family will receive friends from 4 - 8 pm on Wednesday, March 16 at the church.
