Ruth Schwaigert

Ruth Joy Schwaigert, age 94, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2023, at the Monterey Care Center in Grove City, Ohio. She enjoyed puzzles, helping others in need, but what she enjoyed most was spending time with her family, friends and her neighbors. She enjoyed. Ruth retired from the Lazarus Department store after many years. After retirement Ruth volunteered for 17 years at Doctors West Hospital.

She is preceded in death by her parents James and Loye Oliver; and her loving husband Ike Schwaigert.

Ruth is survived by her children James (Rachel) Schwaigert, Rodney (Elaine) Schwaigert, and Roger Schwaigert; grandchildren Janice (Tom) DeWitt, Antonia Schwaigert, and Tony Brockman; and 5 great-grandchildren.

The family will welcome friends on Friday, August 25, 2023, from 12 NOON-1:00 P.M. with Funeral Services starting at 1:00 P.M., at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. MAIN STREET, MOUNT STERLING, OH, 43143. Burial will follow at Pleasant Cemetery, Mount Sterling, OH.
