Sandra Spradlin

Sandra Lee Spradlin, age 66 of Mt. Sterling, died January 20, 2014 in Doctors West Hospital in Columbus. She was born July 12, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her grandmothers Loretta Peterson and Florence Ball; father Billy Peterson, son Billy Joe Spradlin (11-8-2013), nephew Jeffrey S. Spradlin (11-8-2013).
Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Kenneth; children Tami (TJ) Braden, Brian (Jaimi) Spradlin, Todd Spradlin (Paul Buchanan); mother Inez Peterson; brother Michael Peterson; sisters Marilyn “baby girl” Peterson and Barb (Jim) Everhart; grandchildren Nathan Caudill, Derek Spradlin, Brandy (Jason) Cook, Betsy (Tommy) Pauley, Nicole Kirt and Natalie Caudill; great-grandchildren Eli Terry and Morgan Caudill.
Sandy was a devoted wife, mother, caregiver and friend to many. She eloped with her high school sweetheart in 1962 and they have been inseparable ever since. After raising her four children, Sandy worked at Monterey Nursing Home where she continued her passion for caring for others and came to love many of her patients as family. In her later years, she enjoyed her annual vacations to Myrtle Beach and looked forward to choosing new flowers for her garden each spring. Sandy had a tremendous love for family and friends, always welcoming anyone and everyone to her home for the holidays, no matter how chaotic the house became. Although her spirit is free, she will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved her.
A Funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Friday, January 24, 2014 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Jeff Griffith officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery.
Fellowship at the Mt. Sterling First Church of the Nazarene following the services. Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 23rd from 5 – 7 p.m.
