Shirley A. Sockman

Shirley Sockman, age 69, of Mt. Sterling, OH, went to meet her Lord while at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, November 13, 2025. Born to James Cecil and Maxine Burchett, she was preceded in death by her parents, her son James Linville Sockman, and her sister Faye Sockman. Shirley is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 50 years, Jack Sockman, and her son Charles Ray Sockman. She is also survived by many loving relatives and friends including her special cousins Kenny & Cindy Taylor, and dear close friends Linda McDonald and Susan Yates.

Shirley was a long-time and faithful member of Greenlawn Community Church, 15003 Five Points Pike, Mt. Sterling, OH 43143, where family will receive friends from 11:00a.m.-1:00p.m. MONDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2025 with her Funeral Service following immediately at 1:00p.m. MONDAY with Pastor Ken Smith, officiating. Shirley will be laid to rest at Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling.
