Thomas Smith

Thomas “Tom” Smith, age 76 of Ashville, died April 17, 2013 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. He was born August 21, 1936 in Hamilton, Ohio.
Tom served in the US Air Force; 46 year member of Carpenter’s Union Local #200.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Margaret (White) Smith; and brother James Smith.
He is survived by Loving Wife, Barbara Jean (Manning) Smith of 56 years; sons Vernon, Jr. (VT) and daughter-in-law, Rhonda of Florida, Keith Ward and daughter-in-law, Shelley of Jackson, OH.; grandchildren Ashley and Brogan; great-grandchildren Liam and Addison; sisters Marie Barrett, Liz (Corbin) Turner; brothers Henry (Ginger) Smith, Ernie (Lena) Smith; brothers & sisters-in-law, Emmit Manning, Clyde Manning, Val Manning (Carol), Rena (Tim) Kelley; special niece, Renee Lamp; great friend & fishing buddy, Jim Lamp; numerous nieces, nephews, & friends.
A Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2013 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. The interment will follow in Pleasant Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 11 – 1 at the funeral home on Monday.
