William Warner DeVoe Jr., 71 of Columbus, passed away at 1:52 AM on March 26, 2011. He was under the care of Hospice at Mt. Carmel West, Born July 8, 1939 in Mt. Vernon, OH.
He owned and operated DeVoe’s Roofing and Sheet Metal.
Preceded in death by brother Richard DeVoe, sister, Sandra Jo DeVoe.
Survived by his loving wife, Ruth A. DeVoe; children, William Warner DeVoe (Estella A. Blackburn), Kelli Ann DeVoe, Russell Ernest (Virginia) Chambers, and Frank Louis (Rhonda) Neal; brothers, Gary (Ruth) DeVoe, John Thomas DeVoe, and Steve DeVoe; 18 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He was known as a loving, caring person and he will be missed dearly.
Friends may call from 12noon to 1PM Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at THE PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME 331 W. Main St. Mt. Sterling, OH 43143, where a funeral service will follow at 1PM, Rev. Denvil Curry officiating.
Interment Waterloo Cemetery.
