William Bradley Wilson, 82, of London, died Wednesday, February 5, 2014.
He was born July 15, 1931, in Madison County, to Martin and Elizabeth Wilson.
Brad graduated from Fairfield School in 1949. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church for over fifty years. Serving in the Korean Conflict, he was a verteran of the U.S. Army. After returning from his military service, Brad began his career as a dental technician. He continued this work throughout his life.
Brad enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, attending auctions, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Floanne Wilson. Brad and Flo were to celebrate their 62nd wedding anniversary, February 24, 2014. The couple raised four loving children; son, Bill (Terri) Wilson; daughter Diane Self; son, Mike (Lynette) Wilson; and daughter, Cathy (Kip) Witchey. Brad is survived by 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Grandchildren include: Amber (Sean) Thompson, Troy (Rachelle) Wilson, Derek (Lindsey) Wilson, Julie and Joelle Self, Alexia and Bradley Wilson, and Morgan, Luke, and Joel Witchey. Great-grandchildren are Noah and Michaela Thompson and Scarlett Wilson.
He is also survived by brothers: Martin, Eugene (Olive), and Raymond; sisters Lucy (Bill) Harman and Helen (Bob) Perry; sisters-in-law: Bettelu (Dale) Timmons and Gale, Mary, and Patty Wilson; and many, many nieces and nephews.
Brad was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers: Richard, Robert, Thomas, Wayne, and John.
A Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Jesse Blevins officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 7th from 5 – 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the Trinity United Methodist Church, 8530 Lilly Chapel-Georgesville Road London, OH 43140.
